Collection: MICHEL GAHIER ESTATE
Michel Gahier is based in Montigny-les-Asures. The Gahier family has lived there since 1525, and the family estate was founded in 1874. Michel was the first in his line to bottle his wine. Montigny-les-Asures is considered one of the best sites for trousseau in the Jura, due to its soil and climate, distinct from those of Pupillin, less than 15 kilometers away. Michel cultivates 7.5 hectares of vines organically and produces natural wines, without the addition of chemicals, except for small amounts of sulfur when necessary. Michel Gahier's wines are distinguished by their expressiveness, energy, and complexity, combining family traditions and innovation with total respect for his terroir. While Michel is not a talkative person, his wines speak for themselves and are iconic references for the natural wines of the Jura!
